Right now our battle brothers land doesnt even have a name :) we concentrated everything on pure gameplay. The juicy lore will come soon enough. Right now we are discussing the final direction of the gsme and whst we want to achieve. The lore and character of the world will be defined together with that.

– A main character will not be implemented because we dont want people to be babysitting him through the entire game. If anyone can be killed instantly by receiving a battleaxe to the face it would be pretty “gamey” to have one character to be immortal.
To be honest immortal characters is my biggest problem with Mount and Blade. It makes everything a bit meaningless…
Apart from that selecting your first 3 characters from a giant random list may make it into the game.– season would look awesome, no question about that. Wheather is getting implemented slowly but surely.
– A Base is not planned for now, as we focus on the traveling mercenary experience. I’ll never say never, but its absolutely not planned right now.Cheers!

2. Taking notes on the caravan protection.
Regarding the spawn locations. Strongholds are supposed to spawn attack parties themselves to defeat enemy spawns. Maybe we have to work on this mechanic.

Players play the game how they want to, at the difficulty they want to. I suppose you could add a warning “May break the game!” to some options.
Basically ou are right of course. Every player should be able to play a single player game the way he enjoys most. The tricky part comes into play when we have to drop other features just to implement this one. We always have to prioritize very sharply to not overburden ourselves and lose focus of what we are really trying to achieve with the game.

I dont want to take all hope from you, legendary items will receive a little more “creative freedom”.

Its essential to stick to a theme and style to give the whole game a unique feeling and not be fantasy/medieval game number 1002. Even though there may be some exceptions from the rule the basic tone of the game will not change in the future.

1.we will change the stem :)
Clearer vision in the forest is something ive put on my list. This will become more important eventually as fights will happen indoors etc.
2. quest givers are just random guys atm. I want to create a big variety according to the types and levels of contracts.
3. more weapons, especially 2hex range, are totally on my list. Pike, glaive, pitchfork etc.Cheers!
