Yeah, you can’t play in a window mode or on second monitor while doing something else, because once BB window loses focus it freezes time, which forces you, the Player to sit idly and do nothing while AI side make his decisions and do his stuff.
It’s too tiring, especially when you help caravans or militia, and each AI side have to move 20+ units.
Regarding tattoos and scars on body and face, when you enter Barber shop and select the Brother which have them he will be shown without them:
And if you press [accept] he will lose any scars and tattoo on face permanently, since there are no options for scars at all and tattoo on face.
PS: also i hired one glitched Cultist Bro, for he was so clean and pure, while his trait description said he has a tatoos on face..
Here is one even more fascinating case: a Hunters Cabin on Moving Forest
Forest underneath on this tile have several textures at the same time and they keep alternating, sometimes stopping for a short while.
Savefile attached, so you can see this wonder and examine it.
Also, buying back recently sold provisions don’t update it either – you have to buy provisions from Market’s old stock, as in ‘before you entered a town’.
For the sake of cross reference, it’s related to: “ Marketplace: Crowns update incorrect”
UPD: on second thought, these threads probably should be merged.
No, this problem really exist and it’s related to provisions counter or provisions itself.
This is how to reproduce:
1. enter a Town
2. enter Market
– here you can actually make any purchases except for provisions and it works as intended, but take note of money –
3. Buy any provision market had itself (you didn’t sell it)
4. counter didn’t update, but crowns deducted
5. Buy one more provision
6. counter updated, but show number related to entry #4
7. exit Market
8. counter updated, now it shows real amount of crowns, related to entry #6.
You also can simply buy something else instead of doing entry #7, but take note of crowns cost of item and amount deducted.
Same works with the Roster (I,C) window instead of Town, but in this case it doesn’t unpause the game unlike with the Town UI (which i forgot to mention in previous post), so it can’t bring any harm whatsoever.
“We’re all friend_ here, …” – should be friends, as in plural.5. March 2016 at 06:20 in reply to: [bugged graphics] Militia Barracks looks odd during the night #13007
Weird thing, now i have it on my camp (but not barracks) in some of my saves too, where as i didn’t have it previously.. i think i didn’t.
It’s contagious! LOL
I agree with you on point that it takes a lot of clicking to organize a party, and a lot of different windows side by side could be nice and practical on big 1920*1080 (16:9) or higher resolution screen, but what about 1280*960 (4:3), or worse yet smallest supported 1024*768 – how would you fit in it all there? Try it and see how it looks in window mode.
As it is now UI made to fit and look good even on smallest available resolution. And i think Devs did a darn good job of fitting it all togather.
Those merchants are such scammers!
As one of your Battle Brothers said during tutorial: “Don’t get swindled by them cutthroat merchants, cap’n.”5. March 2016 at 04:06 in reply to: [bugged graphics] Militia Barracks looks odd during the night #12999
Indeed, with your save i have that happening too.
As i see it, this playthrough was started several days (patches) ago, so if name/location of ‘nightlight’ texture changed in that time, now it’s missing, thus we see black emptiness.
I think if you start New Game you won’t encounter it anymore.
Or you can try my saves, and see if this problem appear there for you?

I had same bug 4 days ago:
City Lights in the evening lit on forest tile where should be only trees. Maybe
elveshobos live there?
Though it looks to me not like it should be on city, as their shape don’t match, but have an attached location ‘city block’ like small houses, which didn’t generate properly and instead trees are there.5. It persists even after save/load? Maybe you should archive that savefile and put here for Devs to look at?
Also, can you create New Game (or load save from different playthrough) and look around map for Barraks, does this problem persist?
Maybe map generation just bugged out somewhere this once.5. March 2016 at 02:23 in reply to: [bugged graphics] Militia Barracks looks odd during the night #12986
Yeah i did, since i spent several days near that town trying to get a nice screenshot. ^_^
And Militia Barracks looks OK every time, no dark spots or anything.
UPD: i’m using Nvidia card.
I think it would be great if paytime would not be strictly at noon, but anywhere from noon till Evening or Dusk, and paid as soon as you have enough to pay it all, or by Night if you still don’t have money to cover wages, they’ll desert you.
It could be balanced with traits, like: Disloyal would abandon right away at noon, not even waiting for evening, while Loyal might wait until morning or more, with rest of Brothers making their final decision somewhere near Dusk time.
UPD: Right, it also could be an event each and every time someone decides to leave company, since they need to inform their leader anyway, and that’s where it’s time to shine for negotiation skills.
But just one thing bothers me, how would it look being swarmed with lots of negotiation talks while you try to drag their feet to designated town?
