Couldn’t comment on the blog post, so I’ll do it here. I’ve been waiting for this release for ages, and I haven’t come back to BB since before the Northern Raiders dlc, so this is gonna be a helluva time for me! Love this game, so glad y’all decided to keep working on it :)

2h axe thug seems to think ‘I will move one tile to axe this feller’, but when he reaches his destination changes his mind and tries to move to another tile (and gets a pitchfork through his gut).

Sounds like sensible changes, regarding the morale checks depending on enemy background.

I’m fighting some zombie monkeys on a steppe tileset; I hear rain falling but see no rain falling.

    All the stuff attached,
    cheers.

p.s. Give us snowy mountains to (not want to but sometimes be forced to) fight in!
p.p.s. Posting here because issue not worth cluttering with a new thread

I think tuneable map options isn’t a terrible idea, but I also think that Legends mod should not be something to model the main game after.

Is there a way to detect when there’s water inbetween 2 locations? It’s realistic that a city might have to cross a body of water to access their local resources, and so it might be cool to finally be able to ‘caravan’ as a boat, just for these rare situations.

Yeah, you won’t be attacked on the way there, but it wouldn’t happen often.

A bit of a small one. As you can see in the image the Goblin Pike Skirmisher started on hex 0, footwork’d to 1, and ran away to 4.

So, why did he make this inefficient move? Perhaps he tried to footwork into an attacking position, but didn’t consider that he was down 2 elevation from his target? Either way, a pretty non-issue example which may or probably won’t expose a larger issue.

P.S. Yeah, Jason. Though I do feel that monkeys are some of the easier enemies. I like them waiting before feasting, but I do feel I can bully them a bit. They’re incredibly fun to fight, however, because they force you to consider placement in a different way. So much fun <3

Was expecting this to be a silly post, but actually your requests are fair, though I disagree 100% with the reduction in mountains. They’re a big part of what shapes a map.

I think when the nacho (as you called them xD) waits before feasting is something intentionally implemented by the devs.

We can see it as them taking some time to eat, I guess. Making them lose initiative next turn with their full bellies.

Hey guys, finally managed to register here. It was worth it, just to get this comment out after reading through this thread over the past two days.

Huge, huge kudos to Paul for his passion and his patience (and his skill, what?) and my strong feeling that this game is being created by people who truly know what they want to do and what they can do, wa only reinforced after reading all of Paul’s insights and responses.

For the most part you were all pretty good at restraining yourselves and being nice to Paul, but it’s hard not to get greedy when the food on the table is irresistible.

Also, I want to say, Coffee: those were some nice little sketchups you did of the basic peasant weaponry.
