I was wondering, if it would be possible to have swamp to sea transition tiles for situations like this:
and also cliffs as transition tiles between sea and mountain for such situations like this:
to get a more natural look and more variety for the worldmap, so that there is not always beach at the sea.
I think a welcome sight would also be pebble beach tiles.
The Mountain to sea is very common in places like Norway or Montenegro, no hills in between :)
The sawmp-to-sea is less common but it exists – in Louisiana for example
but also in Holland, Normandy and other places
Love the idea of a broken Glaive paul!
Weeeeeee neeeeeeeeeed a Murmillo and Myrmidion though, with net and trident :D
And to be honest, a slinger or two would be excellent
This helmet would be amazing too…
Here’s a sneak peek on the new Bandit banners:
Have you been watching True Detectives Season 1 again? :p awesome26. August 2016 at 09:28 in reply to: [Beta patch] Allow us to see recruit's stats for god's sake… #16723
I am happy with the hidden stats as well
Beautiful polish!!!! The widowmakers is my next one… I also like Banshee Beggars – haha ok I like all of them will be hard choosing. :)
Thanks for this interactive round! Enjoyed reading everyone’s contributions!
These are awesome indeed Paul!
The banshee beggar is great… A suggestion maybe to make it a bit smaller on the banner so that the sicle can stand out more?
Here are two more suggestions then :)
Name : “the Oaken Brotherhood”
Banner : Inspired by both the Basque and Lui Pei pacts (with Zhang Fei and Guan Yu) of swearing blood brotherhood under an oak tree, I would have a classic oak tree like this
BUT I would add a bloody gash on the tree.
Medieval activism. These three men became brothers under the shadow of the oak tree, blood brothers. Their aim was to bring panacea to the ills of their world, tired of hierarchy and Darwinism (although that man was not around yet off course) they pledged to form a band of brothers from all walks of life to share in their vision.
Name: “The Phantom Loon”
A loon , but pale and ghostly on a midnight blue background.
Three warriors from different backgrounds in search of their soul heard the same ghastly howl that night. It brought them beyond their power to the site of the massacre. Together they responded, and they became for ever brothers in arms. The loon still howls at times when the campfire starts to smoulder down, although never reveals itself. It still warns them that their souls belong to a common destiny….
If you want to hear a loon howl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ENNzjy8QjU
Name : “Forsaken Returned”
Banner : Metal gauntlet with diamond ring on index finger emerging out of the sand in which the rest of the body is buried. Dawn sun is rising behind it, and (possibly) an arrow is sticking in the ground next to it.
A unit whipped out and left for dead on an Eastern Crusade has managed to leave behind a few survivors, and now they return.
If you lift the “one contribution rule” I have 2 or 3 very different ideas.
Thanks for being open to this by the way!!!
Pauuuul??? – *pauses* could you announce a competition where we post company names and you make original banners based on 5 you like best or pick at random?
That would be realllly fun.
Amazing! I do think both the first and last two shields could get a lot of variety of design… looking very forward.
The Parvise is not really out of period as it came from the East… the Iranians and Byzantines used equivalents long before it become a standard in Western europe… the first examples are recorded to have been introduced in small numbers to household troops after the last crusades
Haha Paul you are awesome my friend! Really saucy necklace ;)
Brilliant Sir! BUT you haaaaaave to have a Wolf-tooth necklace on the armour to match!
Fantastic as always Paul! The Bronzey nature threw me, but your are right… I stare and drool at stuff in game, so was bound to soon notice it :D
