I’ve started with 3 mercenaries. Then in my first mision I had to escort a caravan. I hired 5 men and we were attacked by, BARBARIANS!!!
My 8 brave men and the caravan hands managed to win the combat with 2 caravan hands killed, but the caravan arrived to its destiny.
After that, I arrived to another village and we were hired to end with some thugs. My initial marksman killed 3 thugs in 3 turns with his crossbow.
Great start jeje.
As for the DLC “Beasts & Exploration”, buy the eyes closed and with the additional banner (as for the Kraken)
I saw in the answers on Steam much to ask the translation of the game, I know that it is expensive for a small studio, you could just (and I will be very happy) allow to copy the narative text to be able to to stick in a translation tool for people who do not fully understand English, it would be a small addition for your non-Anglo-Saxon community.

I started a new game with 3 barbarian, I was banned from 2 Noble house but was welcomed in the South. A monk was with us. I’ll try each scenario.
Yesterday I played a lone wolf, which I managed to go up to level 6 having only two guys in my company (lone wolf + squire)
For the squire it’s pretty funny, I went to town and he wanted to join a “knight”, suddenly the usual questions (did you commit a crime?) Ect …
However, it becomes difficult to keep up with the day 10/12 by having an ultra reduced company. (but no fees, little food and hugely XP (especially if you’re doing x5 training)
Im having a problem with the tavern rumors. The gossip was that the leader of a group of brigands had “Some mighty fine armor on” and when I find the location its all undead. I get that the guy might have gotten killed by them but I’m kinda tired of only being able to reliably get famed weapons from undead.
I tried going in on day 200+ and I find 2 necromancers, 6 fallen heroes, 22 zombies, and a champion undead. I found it impossible unless I do multiple men with spearwall/nets but its still incredibly hard due to the necromancers always reviving and empowering the champion.
Long story short can we have tavern rumors that state a group of brigands having famed gear actually having it rather than us having to fight some damned undead horde.
