Time is about ready for some fresh eyes to take a look at the upcoming final update of Battle Brothers. During the course of next week, the update will hit the beta branch. Do understand that it’ll be in beta for a reason – there’s going to be bugs and balancing issues. We’ll post instructions on how to opt into the beta next week. If you prefer to wait instead until the game is finished, you can just keep on playing and don’t have to worry about any of this.

New moral check mechanic looks “against player” feature, right now . Late game = enemies are always greater in number, flanks brother vs 3 or 4 enemy will be in every battle anyway
Why are people worried about this new mechanic at all? It’s easily negated by Sergeant and Rally abilities.

Having a morale check on being surrounded makes sense. I wonder whether there will be morale checks for other incidents, such as having your shield smashed, being pushed/pulled down a height level or being trapped in a net/vine/curse. I also wonder whether the Underdog perk will take away morale checks on being surrounded (and whether that would be desirable).
The only questionable thing about the new mechanism is that, obviously, being surround by orc warriors would be far more daunting than being surrounded by bandit thugs, but both (presumably) will have the same effect.
The other questions that arise are whether deliberately moving into melee with more than one enemy will now cause an immediate morale effect, and whether there will be morale checks related to becoming vulnerable to more than one enemy with a 2-tile weapon.
Untill we got beta hard to say, but if you will be goblin wolfraider…you will able use footwork perk some time per round just to check morale several times vs 300 + 400 armored brother, whom this goblin can’t even scratch for 5 rounds…

Watching this stream I’d really like for the Combat Log to have bigger text and also use the Icons for the different attacks and wounds they cause. At least so that you can see exactly what the last two attacks did.
I love the game and eagerly waiting for its release! However there are two simple/quality of life improvements that I would love to see implemented. First, the option to have the game auto-pause whenever you exit a settlement. I find this annoying indeed since time is such a valuable commodity in the game and I dont want to waste it :)
Secondly, resizable text log. Currently the compact option doesnt allow me to see the relevant information and the expanded version fills the screen too much,

1.Ok, in 5 th ep i saw that raisen zombi check resolve again, is it means that enemy who was knocked back or repelled will check resolve again in next turn if he come close ?
2. How check resolve work? I mean, is it same mechanic like hits? Your resolve = def, enemy fear bonus = atack? So enemy always has 5 % to lower morale of any ( even 100 resolve) brother?
I ask it because I want to know what exactly to test in the new beta)
Just wondering … if I’m still “opted-in” for Beta in Steam, will the new update be automatic? … or is it a surprise?
Will it be save game compatible when it comes out?
My guess is “no”. :-( But, that may be just as well, as the changes will probably wreak havoc on our favorite “build outs”.
