The release of the ‘Beasts & Exploration’ DLC is just around the corner – it’s launching on Thursday next week, the 29th! Time to recap on all of the many new features and content additions that are about to arrive with both the DLC and the free update to version 1.2 of Battle Brothers.
You can find the DLC on Steam here and on GOG here. The DLC will also be available as a Supporter Edition with a fancy Kraken banner and painted shields!
Here are detailed introductions of what is about to come.
New mechanics and content
New opponents
As well as many minor additions and changes
- The beast slayer background, new named weapons and new armor
- New traits, events and a new perk
- New settlement situations, hiring changes and a new retreat system
And then, of course, there’s even more new things which we haven’t covered much in our dev blogs, such as new contracts, a bigger world, new music tracks and new achievements!
I AM SO EXCITED I AM GONNA DIE you guys did a really good job with this dlc it looks amazing!
Oh man I just got the game yesterday and I already ran through 7 mercenary different companies.
Hopefully the new DLC makes it more fun to play…and lose ?
Oh yes, I can’t wait to have more variety in the ways my men die! So excited, keep up the good work!
Hi, does patchnotes v1.2 exist? If yes, where I can see it?
There’ll be a changelog when it’s released.
If you make more content people will buy, I’m willing to spend 30$ on dlc that’s how good this game is and I believe the amount of detail you guys put in is well worth it I hope you guys continue to add on after this dlc an exiting time for the game
Is there any intention of continuing with DLC after this? I said before that the supporter edition only has value (to me) if you intend to continue development on BB or some sort of sequel. I really don’t want to put faith or money in another abrupt development halt.
This has come up in multiple interviews, and the response has been that they’d like to. However, it depends on how financially successful this one is, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.
Don’t blame me for being antsy about it. Development halted abruptly once before with no explanation.
I’ve purchased the supporter edition. I’ll either wind up an advocate of the studios work or a naysayer. We’ll have to wait and see at this point.
The DLC is fun so far, but the quality of the writing has taken a noticeable hit.
